Wison New Energies has signed the EPCIC (engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning) contract with Eni and Altera Infrastructure for the FPSO for the Baleine Phase 3 offshore oil and gas field in Côte d'Ivoire. The contract takes Wison from front-end engineering design (FEED) through to EPCIC execution, and is an important milestone for Wison in the FPSO sector.
Baleine Phase 3 is being developed by Eni in Côte d'Ivoire, with Altera Infrastructure as owner and operator of the FPSO. Altera Infrastructure was previously the contractor for the redeployment of the FPSO and FSO installed in Baleine Phase 2.
The FPSO will operate in water depths of about 800 to 1,200 meters. It is designed to process up to 90,000 barrels of oil per day, 80,000 barrels of produced water per day and 160 MMSCFD of natural gas, with a design life of at least 20 years. The unit will be about 308 meters long, 57 meters wide and 29.8 meters deep.
“This contract underscores the confidence of international clients in our engineering capabilities, project execution, and supply chain management. Wison will leverage its mature project management framework and integrated delivery capabilities to ensure the successful execution of the project.”
Building on Baleine Phase 3, Wison New Energies will further strengthen its FPSO EPCIC capabilities, with safe, efficient and sustainable solutions for global energy development and the move to a lower-carbon future.
